Help us protect affordable housing!

Rachel Zeitler | February 28, 2018

Earlier this month, the White House released the President's budget request for 2019, which details the Administration's vision for funding federal agencies. Similar to last year, the budget proposes elimination of every federal program that Habitat for Humanity uses to build safe, affordable homes in Wake County and across the county.

The budget release coincided with Habitat's annual legislative conference in Washington, D.C., where Habitat Wake joined hundreds of housing advocates from around the country.

We met with lawmakers on Capitol Hill and urged them to protect federal programs that support our work in Wake County.
