Continuing Advocacy During COVID-19

April 3, 2020

While COVID-19 has created a sense of uncertainty, Habitat Wake is still dedicated to advocating for affordable housing. We know that this virus will hit vulnerable communities the hardest, and so we are committed to advocating for those populations. Here’s what we’re working on:

  • Mobilizing our advocacy supporters. We will be sending out updates and action alerts to our advocacy list to magnify our voice to elected officials and the community. We need your help! Not on our advocacy list? Add your name and email address here to stay involved.

  • Keeping up with proposed legislation. There are near-daily updates from local, state and federal governments. Our advocacy team is tracking this information and working to provide context and updates when possible.

  • Staying connected. We realize how important it is to connect with supporters, now more than ever. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn to stay in the loop.

We are inspired by the outpouring of  support from the community during this time. Together, we will continue to build a better future for families in Wake and Johnston counties.
