General Account | September 17, 2021

We thought you might need one, so we curated a playlist to help you find your way home safely! Here are a few of our favorites from the list:

Tori Kelly’s “Bring Me Home”

At first listen, you believe this song is about finding home in a person. However, the song is about God's love being the true embodiment of home. With the love and guidance of God, Habitat helps bring people finally home.

Mötley Crüe’s “Home Sweet Home”

This classic rock ballad reminds you of finally arriving home after a long journey. In your imaginary movie it plays as you look out the window to your destination. Then as the last chords play you finally arrive, walk up the steps, and you're home.

Miranda Lambert’s “The House That Built Me”

There is a physical place that we define as home. Each of the walls is covered in memories who influenced who you are as a person.  You know you have a safe place to return to, if you ever get lost in the world.

Aretha Franklin’s “The House That Jack Built”

At Habitat Wake, just like Jack, you can build your own home. The rooms will be filled with love, warmth, and happiness just like Ms. Aretha Franklin’s voice. Your house will not just be a house. It will be a home.

Pentatonix's “Take Me Home”

Pentatonix’s acapella remix on the classic Phil Collin’s song shows that while home can look different over time, it, still give us the same feels. Our ideas of home change as we evolve as a person. However, one thing remains the same: the feelings of comfort and safety.

5 Seconds of Summer’s “Long Way Home”

It can take a while to find home. Sometimes the journey is just as fun as the destination. Enjoy the ups and downs of finally arriving home.  If you need any help with the journey, Habitat Wake is here to help you!
