Habitat for Humanity of Wake County is honored to announce a generous $300,000 pledge from The Leon Levine Foundation (TLLF) in support of its mission to build homes, communities and hope. The commitment will be distributed over three years, with $100,000 granted annually through 2027.
"At The Leon Levine Foundation, we believe that affordable housing is foundational to strong, healthy communities. We’re proud to partner with Habitat Wake in their mission to build safe, affordable homes for families across Wake and Johnston counties. This investment reflects our commitment to creating pathways to self-sufficiency and stability, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact it will make for generations to come" said Tom Lawrence, President/CEO of the Leon Levine Foundation.
This multi-year investment strengthens Habitat Wake’s capacity to build and repair homes and expands its impact through advocacy and neighborhood development efforts. The Leon Levine Foundation’s continued partnership ensures that more families can access the opportunity and stability that homeownership provides.
Based in Charlotte, N.C., the Leon Levine Foundation invests in nonprofits across North Carolina and South Carolina with strong leadership, a track record of success, and a plan for financial sustainability. Through its investments, the Foundation intends to create pathways to self-sufficiency, champion strategies for permanent change, and facilitate opportunities for growth.
“We are incredibly grateful to The Leon Levine Foundation for believing in Habitat Wake’s mission and investing in the future of our community,” said Patricia Burch, CEO of Habitat Wake. “This pledge allows us to plan boldly, serve more families and advance our vision of a world where everyone has a safe and affordable place to call home.”
