Serve your community at the Habitat Wake ReStores

Our ReStores are #1 in the nation among more than 700 stores, generating almost $5 million a year in sales! Proceeds support Habitat Wake’s mission to build safe, affordable housing in our community in partnership with hardworking families, donors and volunteers.

Volunteer opportunities are available in all six ReStores. Opportunities include, but are not limited to, answering phones, helping load and move furniture, assisting in receiving and processing donations, and light maintenance repairs.

State-allocated/Court-ordered Community Service

State-allocated  or court-ordered community service hours can only be completed at the ReStores in Raleigh, Cary, Apex, Fuquay, or Wake Forest after attending a mandatory orientation session. We consider this a short-term commitment and have a process that is separate from our long-term ReStore volunteer program.  We accurately track your hours and provide you with the paperwork needed to certify your completion of any required service.

We hold half-hour mandatory orientation sessions at each store location each week:

Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.
Saturday at 10:30 a.m.

REQUIREMENTS: You must be 18 years of age or older to complete court-ordered or state-allocated volunteer hours. You must attend a mandatory orientation session prior to starting your volunteer service. No application or appointment is necessary; just attend one of the half-hour orientation sessions. These sessions are held at the ReStore locations in Raleigh, Cary, Apex, or Fuquay-Varina, and Wake Forest. These mandatory orientation sessions will provide an overview of expectations and safety rules, as well as our mission and how your service helps us succeed. Some paperwork will be required. You must attend the mandatory orientation session at the store where you plan to complete your service hours. You cannot begin any community service hours until you have attended an orientation session.
