Habitat Wake Volunteer Accomplishments
Hats off to the hundreds of volunteers who from June '05 - September '06 were buzy!
A few stats:
- 35 houses built
- 60 strip-outs & 10 full deconstructions
- 17,600 sq. ft of hardwood flooring salvaged & 3,000 tons of waste diverted from landfills
- 9,400 letters mailed to supporters
- 69 applicant families reviewed
- 17 homeowner newsletter articles written
- more than $3.8 million raised
2006 Volunteer Appreciation and Celebration
At Pullen Park on Sunday, October 1, the Habitat Wake staff and board of directors thanked our many volunteers for all the hours spent hammering, measuring, lifting, sorting, delivering and cheering. We saluted:
