The Doggett Family to Family Fund

"I was drawn to Habitat because it serves a need as basic as food a place for a family to live. We've been fortunate in our personal and professional lives and saw this as a way to share, to give something back, to help a struggling family move ahead." Ron Doggett

In June of 1998, Ron and Jeanette Doggett pledged the support of their family to fully sponsor a Habitat home. They became the first family in Wake County to make such a sizeable commitment to Habitat. To acknowledge the Doggett's leadership and encourage other gifts like theirs. Habitat for Humanity of Wake County created the Ron and Jeanette Dogget Family to Family Fund. The fund honors and recognizes one-time, single gifts of $70,000 or more from individuals or families.

An Opportunity to Give Back to the Community
The Family to Family Fund provides an opportunity for a family to acknowledge its good fortune, accept a challenge, and decide to build a house in partnership with a family who has been less fortunate.

Your family's entire gift to the Family to Family Fund is applied directly to the new construction of a Habitat house. If you choose, your family will have an opportunity to work closely with the future homeowners to build their house. You may choose to involve your church, civic group, and / or company as volunteers on the project as well.
