House Sponsors Since 1985

Habitat for Humanity of Wake County was founded in 1985 and completed its first home in 1986. With strong support from local individuals, civic organizations, faith groups and corporations, the affiliate grew quickly, building an average of 11 houses annually between 1989 and 1999.

More than 50 churches and 200 local corporations sponsored Habitat homes in the last five years. We celebrate this success and thank the following Habitat House Sponsors who have partnered with families, volunteers and staff to build simple, decent, affordable homes in Wake County for our fist 20 years.

By 2012, Habitat Wake aims to double the number of homes built each year and be able to serve at least 40 new homeowner families each year -- an ambitious agenda that reflects the strong commitment of the community to help solve the desperate problems associated with the insufficient supply of affordable housing.
