Volunteer at the ReStore
Working in the ReStore is fun and rewarding! There are plenty of opportunities to get involved from greeting customers and stocking shelves to working on DeConstruction projects around town. Come for a few hours or stay the whole day. DeConstruction Crewmember: Fridays & Saturdays
Work with our DeConstruction Coordinators along with other crew members on deconstruction projects in Wake County. Learn valuable techniques for disassembling homes while preserving vintage materials and diverting waste from our local landfills. Learn More about the DeConstruction Program.
Pick up Driver's Assistant: Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-5pm
Approximately 4 hour shifts. Help out our pick up driver with daily collections of donations from homes and businesses in Wake County. Assist with directions and the loading and unloading of materials. Moderate to heavy lifting is required.
Recycling Coordinator: 2-4 hours per week.
Sort, collect, and transport paper, plastic, aluminum, newspaper, cardboard and copper to recycling center once a week.
Customer Service: Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-5pm. 2-4 hour shifts.
Meet and greet customers as they arrive at the ReStore. Assist with loading materials, finding prices, and locating
material availability. Also help in updating and restocking the
information and idea center.
Shipping and Receiving Specialist: Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-5pm
2-4 hour shifts. Receive incoming building material donations, load and unload for
customers and donors.
