Donate through DeCon

The Habitat DeConstruction Program salvages usable building materials from residential homes.  The donated materials are sold in the ReStore to raise funds for Habitat homes in Wake County.

Habitat Wake ReStore recently received a donation of two octagonal modular home kits and is selling them for $10,000 each.  Learn more about this unique project.

Habitat DeCon Services

  • Kitchen Cabinet Removal: For a flat fee, professionally trained staff carefully remove and haul away kitchen cabinetry and appliances, cap electrical wires, and clear away debris, leaving the kitchen ready for renovation.  Download an information card, call 919.291.4557, or contact us for a quote.

  • Strip Outs: Staff and volunteers quickly remove structurally-sound building materials from homes slated for demolition.  Materials removed might include hardwood floors, doors, windows, cabinetry, lighting, lumber, plumbing, hardware and architectural elements.  This service is provided free of charge.
  • Residential DeConstruction: From partial to full-scale projects that remove all building debris down to the foundation, Habitat offers competitively-priced deconstruction services as an alternative to traditional demolition.  The donated house is a tax-deductible contribution.
