Advocacy at Habitat Wake seeks to “…put shelter on hearts and minds in such powerful ways that poverty housing becomes socially, politically, and religiously unacceptable.”

Habitat for Humanity has built homes, communities, and hope around the world for four decades. While Habitat has partnered with more than 1 million families, nearly 1.6 billion people still live in poverty housing. Habitat Wake has partnered with more than 1,000 families since 1985, yet more than 28,000 families in Wake County are still in need of affordable housing.

Habitat Wake invites you to BUILD LOUDER as we influence policies and systems to vastly increase access to affordable housing. We want to mobilize our partners to become advocates for affordable housing. Explore this site to learn more about affordable housing needs in our community and around the world and to find out how your voice is needed.
