Information Sessions for Homeownership Applicants

If you're interested in applying for a Habitat home or would like to pick up an application to give to someone, then please attend a Homeownership Information Session. They are held at the Habitat Wake offices the 2nd Saturday and 3rd Tuesday of each month. Additional information and upcoming dates below. Thanks! There is no fee to attend the homeownership information session or to apply to build a home in partnership with Habitat for Humanity.

Since the founding of Habitat Wake in 1985, volunteers, sponsors and all other supporters have changed the lives of more than one thousand people in our community - two-thirds of whom are children.

Habitour

Did you know that Habitat Wake builds homes to Advanced Energy SystemVisionT standards so that homeowners may participate in a program that lowers heating and cooling bills? Did you know that Habitat homeowners pay a 0%, 20-year mortgage? Join us for a Habitour--a one-hour presentation to learn how Habitat helps hardworking families in our area become homeowners. Habitat staff treat attendees to a bag lunch (complements of Brueggers Bagels) at the Habitat offices and show a 10-minute video of homeowners telling how changing their living circumstances improved their outlook and their children's lives. Attendees shuttle by passenger van (loaned by a different church each month) to tour a Habitat build site. Attendees walk through a house that is nearing completion, so they can see and hear firsthand how volunteers and homeowners build Habitat houses.
