Habitat Wake Announces New Leadership

Habitat for Humanity of Wake County has named Kevin Campbell as Executive Director. “The Board of Habitat Wake is delighted to have found a capable leader with deep knowledge of and commitment to the Habitat mission,” said Greg Anglum, Board President. “While our Board Search Committee reviewed applications from a number of very well qualified individuals, Kevin’s commitment and track record stood out.”
For two decades, Campbell has worked in the Habitat for Humanity community –both in a Virginia affiliate as well as in national and global positions. Currently, he serves as Director of Building Industry Relations for Habitat for Humanity International, where he was heavily involved in leading the national Builders’ Blitz and in expanding ReStore operations to provide support for Habitat affiliates across the country. Prior to joining the International staff, Campbell was the founding executive director of a Habitat affiliate in the Greater Lynchburg, Virginia, area and, during his nine-year tenure there, brought that affiliate to national prominence based upon its innovation and high number of homes provided for families.
“I’m very excited to continue my Habitat journey at Habitat Wake. In the past 25 years, much great work has been accomplished in this community, yet there remain so many families in need of better housing. I look forward to extending the blessing of a home to many, many more local families.”
Campbell will begin his new position in April.
