Benefit Events for Habitat Wake
Bagels All Day - Thurs. May 15
On Thursday May 15, Bruegger’s will celebrate the grand re-opening of all 17 of their bakeries here in the Raleigh-Durham area. During this celebration, Bruegger’s will help to “raise a little dough” by generously donating a portion of their sales to Habitat Wake. Plus, Bruegger’s will give away $10,000 worth of gift cards at all of their bakeries. (Each bakery will give away 25 gift cards valued at $25 – arrive early to get yours!)
By supporting this event and visiting your nearest Bruegger’s bakery, you will help to raise more money for our homebuilding mission.
There will be an official ribbon cutting ceremony marking the occasion at the Pleasant Valley Shopping Center bakery located at 6274-100 Glenwood Avenue in Raleigh. Come for bagels and fanfare.

Power of 7 Missions Fundraiser - Sat. May 17
From food, fellowship, fun and shopping, this event will have it all – yard sale, live auction, entertainment, bake sale, craft sale, plant sale and rain barrel sale. Seven local churches of the United Methodist Church Conference are hosting this event, which will raise sponsorship funds to build a house in Garner.

Directions to Lake Benson Park in Garner: From I-40 in Raleigh, take the South Saunders Street exit (#298 A) and head away from Raleigh on 70 East and 401 South. These highways split about 1.6 miles from the exit - follow 70 East. Less than a mile from the split, take a right on Timber Drive. Follow Timber Drive for about 3.1 miles until you come to its intersection with Aversboro Road. Take a right on Aversboro Road. Drive for about .9 miles and you'll see the park on your left. There's a small blue sign marking the entrance.
A few years ago members of St. Andrews United Methodist Church (one of the seven local United Methodist Churches hosting this May fundraiser) held a similar fundraiser. Read their tale of teamwork that brought the congregation together to help a family in need in Garner.

Crossroads Fellowship is hosting its 3rd Annual Habitat for Humanity Golf Tournament. It's a Captains Choice format with shotgun start.
