House Plans
Habitat Wake has numerous professionally designed house plans. Homes reflect the style of the neighborhood and historical detail when applicable.
Staff select a suitable plan based on subdivision, lot size and shape, and household size.
House sizes range from 780 - 1,610 square feet. Depending on the household size, the home will have 2 – 6 bedrooms.
Homes Under Construction
Volunteers and future homeowners perform most of the labor on Habitat homes including all carpentry, roofing, siding, interior trim, painting, and landscaping. Habitat Wake usually hires subcontractors for the site and foundation work, electrical, plumbing and Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC).
Scenes of homes currently under construction show the fun and teamwork of being on site.

Guests meet at the Habitat offices & ReStore on Alwin Court for a light lunch and video presentation, then board a bus for a short driving tour to a home under construction.
You will not be asked to make a contribution or commitment of any kind. We just want to share our story. Contact us at 919.833.1999 x245 to reserve a spot today. (The next tour will be Friday, August 31 from noon - 1 p.m.)
