Neighborhood Under Construction
If you are interested in seeing the work that Habitat families, volunteers are staff are doing in Wake County, please visit Dowling Ridge in Raleigh. This neighborhood features:
- 20 homes built in June 2006 during Home Builders Blitz 2006
- Two homes under contruction through a partnership called Apostles Build.
- One home under construction by a local Lutheran Church coalition
Ideal days to see home construction are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Because there are many families already living in the neighborhood and their are many construction volunteers on site, please park on Dowling Road near the entrance to Joe and Ruth Lee Drive then walk to the homes. Additionally for your safety, please do not walk directly onto construction sites.
