"...we are amazed at how happy people feel to help other people..."
The Idris Family
Excerpts from a letter of gratitude...
During our sweat equity hours with the people from Habitat for Humanity, we learned a lot of things. For example, we are amazed at how happy people feel to help other people, no matter their religion or color. We have learned how people of different colors, religions and languages can work in a friendly manner and with smiling faces to help each other.
It is hard to put into words how we feel for the volunteers and the church people who give up their time with their own families to help....My children have experienced a big difference between the amount of help we have received in the United States and the amount received back [in Sudan]. I know that each of my children will remember this, and they will grow up and give back to their community. That is the lesson they are learning from the kindness you have shown us....
Thank you so much for making me and my family feel welcome in this community.
Sincerely,
The Idris Family
