Information Sessions for Homeownership Applicants

If you're interested in applying for a Habitat home or would like to pick up an application to give to someone, then please attend our next Homeownership Information Session. We'll provide applications and tell you about the process for partnering with Habitat Wake.

The session begins with a presentation that will last one hour. Staff will be available to answer questions.

These Information Sessions will be held in the large conference room at Habitat Wake's new offices at 2420 Raleigh Boulevard in Raleigh. Click here for directions.

Applications are accepted year-round.There is no fee to attend the homeownership information session or apply. Applying homeowners are not required to attend this information session in order to apply. Please call 833-1999 x351 for a recorded message, if you need additional information.

Applying homeowners who cannot attend the information session may use our website navigation menus to learn more about the application and construction process from this website. Instructions on how to apply and applications are available in two languages (Las instrucciones en cómo aplicar y las aplicaciones para convertirse en dueño de casa están disponibles en dos idiomas):

Note: Applications require review and approval by our Board of Directors. This homeowner information session is an opportunity to receive or submit in an application. Habitat Wake staff will follow up per the approval process.

Are You a Potential Habitat Homeowner?

If you have the ability to pay a mortgage (view income guidelines),
If you have lived or worked in Wake County for the last year,
If you have a satisfactory, documented rental history,
If you're living in high-rent, overcrowded, unsafe, substandard conditions or subsidized/Section 8 housing,
If your credit is reasonably good and you can pay a $1,250 down payment,
If you can work several hours a week to help construct your home,
then, homeownership is within your reach!
