Women Build
Women Build is a national effort to build homes that are funded and constructed by women. By providing a female friendly work site, our Women Build project empowers women to take leadership roles in construction and learn new skills while building a home for a hardworking family in need of safe, affordable housing.
Fundraising for the 2012 Women Build is underway. We'll be building with Amy, our 2012 partner homeowner - read her story online.
We need your help! To get involved:
- Put our next Open House (and Tool Drive!) on your calendar - Tuesday, March 6, 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the Cary ReStore. Hear about our fundraising progress and learn how you can get involved in raising funds AND raising walls.
- Receive our Women Build e-news to make sure you have information about sponsorships, important dates, and how to volunteer. To sign up, just send us an email.
- Get together a group of friends, co-workers, or neighbors, or approach your business or church about becoming a Women Build Sponsor. Individuals commit to raising at least $250, while Sponsor Teams commit to a $3,750 goal. As a member of a Sponsor Team, benefits include recognition on signage, in newsletters, and web materials as well as a Saturday workday for your crew.
