Global Building: Honduras
Habitat Wake has joined other area Habitat affiliates in a special partnership with Habitat Honduras. With over half of its residents living well below the poverty line, the need for decent housing in Honduras is staggering. Join us on one of our first two trips to help build affordable homes and form lasting friendships. Consider joining us for an opportunity to serve and be served, to change lives and be changed.

Stay tuned for 2013 trip dates!

We will work alongside future Honduran homeowners and local volunteers under the supervision of Honduran masons. The work can be rigorous, but teamwork makes the labor fun. In addition to working, we will also take time to visit a couple of very special orphanages, a coffee processing plant, and take other side excursions as time allows. We'll also visit the Copan Ruins, the most well preserved Mayan ruins in the world.
Please contact us if you would like to begin conversation about joining us. We would like to meet you and talk briefly about your expectations and goals, before you complete the application process. Feel free to contact us to express interest, even if you are not sure about making the trip. We will hold a place on the team for you while you gather information to make a final decision.
