"Faith without works is as dead as a doornail," said Millard Fuller, founder of Habitat for Humanity International. Hundreds of faith organizations in Wake County take that philosophy to heart each year with financial gifts, volunteer labor, and friendship with Habitat families.
- Each year, the Apostles Build brings together 12 partner churches to fund and construct a Habitat home with a homeowner family.
- Throughout the year, churches organize dinners, bowl-a-thons, car washes, golf tournaments, youth group activities, and other events to fund housing projects.
