Five Homes in Cary

With the concept of single family homes attached only by a storage unit, Habitat Wake used a modest parcel of land to build five homes in Cary. In March 2007, Habitat supporters joined the five families to dedicate these homes. 21 sponsors and 24 volunteer groups helped build these homes on Callan Park Lane. A few photos:

In March, Habitat Wake dedicated the homes of two families who have much in common beyond helping to build one another's homes: each family has children under 10 and each family originated from Togo on the West coast of Africa. Habitat Wake thanks IBM and Eaton for their house sponsorships.

Thank you for the referral. St. Michael's Catholic Church told one of these celebrating families about the Habitat homeownership program. Habitat Wake accepts applications and builds houses throughout the year. Applying homeowners and people assisting applicants are welcome to attend our next homeowner information session on Saturday, April 21 to learn more.

Thank you for volunteering. The NC State Habitat Chapter was one of many groups who spent Saturday afternoons building these homes. Please sign up online if you or your organization would like to volunteer.
