Habitat Home Dedications in 2006

In Dowling Ridge, Raleigh

Approximately 500 people gathered Saturday, June 10, 2006, at the Dowling Ridge neighborhood to dedicate 20 new Habitat homes (the first in the neighborhood). The 45-minute closing ceremony of Habitat for Humanity's national Home Builders Blitz included greetings from Habitat International; the national and local Homebuilders Association; Mayor of Raleigh, Charles Meeker; and remarks from several of the new homeowners. Following the program, Golden Corral provided a buffet dinner and the 20 new homes were opened for touring.

In Idlewood Village, Raleigh

In November 2006, Habitat friends welcomed six families to the Idlewood neighborhood.
